I never write anything here, but I guess I should change that. Not for anyone but myself though. It's good to write in order to put your thoughts somewhere else where it won't distract you as hell, which all my thoughts always seem to do. But I normally write elsewhere, private little weird poems who no one ever gets to read. That's how I like it. They sometimes turn out pretty okay so I guess it's a shame that I never publish 'em. But who doesn't need the secret and mystery privacy, right?

Anyway. It's a new year. Someone once told me that the upcoming year (do you say it like that? upcoming? Right now I mean this year, 2010) always turns out depending how your new year's eve turned out. It's obviously not true, but somehow I still hope it is. Last year was a complete disaster, I got into a huge fight with my very best friend, and we almost got to the part where we discussed if we should ever speak to each other again. It was terrifying, we've known each other for 15 years and she's been my best friend since I can remember. However, the year 2009 wasn't, like the new year's eve, a good one. I can't remember that anything really good came along and it just felt like... nothing.. It just kept going without any real good or bad thing happening. It was just plain.. The summer was alright, I painted my walls and went working on a music festival, plus a few other things. But still, nothing really shocking happened. My grandfather died, so I guess that makes the year quite sad after all. It's not exactly how the new year's eve was, but not so far away from it. Neither of them were good.

However, this new year's eve was a... Well, funny one! Yeah, perhaps even a good one. Let's just say that I liked it. That's why I hope, at least for now, that the year will be just like the new year's eve. Because then it'll be fabulous! Good new year's eve or not, I actually believe that 2010 will be a good year, at least better than 2009. I can feel it. And it's easy to top 2009. But I shall not wish for anything, because there's usually never a year that doesn't bring both happiness and sadness.. After all, that's life.
